Blue Moon Sanctuary Thrift Store also helps pay for the ongoing care of the animals. The Thrift Store is located at 167 East Highway 54, Camdenton, MO. Donations such as furniture, clothing, small electronics, and household goods are always welcome. Blue Moon Sanctuary - Who We Are...

Blue Moon Sanctuary is a group of volunteers dedicated to the care of animals at Lake of the Ozarks. After many years of working with homeless, abused and abandoned animals, Blue Moon Sanctuary was founded in 1999. A non-shelter sanctuary, the animals live in homes of the founders and the many foster families. As a strictly volunteer organization, 100% of your donations go to support the animals.

Care for over 100 animals at any given time is given by the ladies of Blue Moon Sanctuary. Most of the animals brought in recover and go to good new homes with loving families. Sadly, though, we see many of the cats and dogs that most people will never take home...outcast, unwanted, lame, blind, deaf, traumatized by abuse, old handicapped or ill. For these innocent creatures, Blue Moon will be a special home and haven for the rest of their lives.

Blue Moon Sanctuary:

*Has helped over 1,700 animals into new homes.

*Has helped pet owners in financial need.

*Has helped pet owners with emergency vet bills.

*Has assisted pet owners with spaying/neutering when the owners could not afford the expense.

*Rehabbed injured wildlife and raised orphan wildlife:   then releasing them as soon as they are ready.
